Why doesn't Hubpages take the "Hub of the Day" more seriously?
For some reason, I have been taking note of the Hub of the Day, recently - lots of 'Pinterest' type crafts & recipes get picked, and every once in awhile a good one is chosen like yesterday's 'Pros & Cons of Democracy'. Today's pick is interesting, but not written with very high quality. Why is it so hard to choose a good hub for this important slot? Honestly, I'd rather not have it - just make that slot a random hub that constantly changes throughout the day or something.
Hey! One of my hubs was HOTD last week, and I think it's of very high quality.
I think the reason Pinterest-friendly hubs are chosen more often is that they have lovely photography, or at least photos that don't look like they're generic stock images. That makes them friendly to social media sharing. That's good for all of us.
Like I said... Some Hubs that are chosen are good, but this isn't Pinterest. And when I read the Hub for today this morning, it was FILLED with spelling mistakes to the point that it was distracting - so I skipped down to the last sentence that also contained an easy spelling mistake. I'm sorry, but something with those kinds of spelling and/or grammatical errors should not be considered for Hub of the Day.

Now that HP has professional editors, I think it would be a good idea to have the editors review the HOTD before it is featured. The HOTD is a showcase not only for the hubber, but for all of HubPages. A person new to HP might think that getting it right is not very important. I make...

For some unspecified reason, HubPages has chosen not to feature what I believe to be one of the bestHubs I have written. After learning that HubPages was not going to feature it without editing, I added a poll to see if that would do the trick. No success. It really would be nice if the...

Do you think Hubpages should take a harder stance to poorly written hubs?I hop hubs when I can, and find so many that are of poor quality. They have little to no content, or just one long text block. Don't get me started about the spelling or grammar.Should HP take more of a harder...

There have been so may forum threads and posts (some quite offensive to HOD authors), that I would suggest the HOD should be selected by readers votes.Under the "useful, funny, etc." chain, a link: "Vote" would allow a reader to vote for the hub as HOD.The hub that...
